Dynamite Hemorrhage Radio #219 is the first of an intermittent series of “wind it up and let it go” episodes – focused on a genre, sound or timeframe, and with minimal talking from me aside from a brief intro. This one’s about the hallowed 1977-82 period of Los Angeles punk, from the Masque scene to the beaches & the pits – only 100% first-rate, high-quality, loud/fast music for 83 highly frantic minutes.

I know this is sensational already, and there’s even a few new-to-me songs to discover. Danke.
Some things which may be of interest, if you haven’t already, etc., – (I want to share and don’t anyone else who is interested) –
‘The Hardy Boys Meet Dracula’ is on youtube – featuring Kickboy Face as ‘Frenchie’.
I know you’re not big on ‘R.’ Meltzer, but there is a sumptuous archive of the Hepcats From Hell radio show on archive.org. He doesn’t present them all, there are guest hosts such as Brendan Mullen and Don Bolles filling in here and there – it’s essential listening for LA Punk freaks.
Thanks, thumbs up, ‘Like’, best wishes and so on

P.S. The Plugz EP is so great. Never been reissued or anthologised – thought it would be a shoo-in for punkoid labels with power-pop leanings … Los Angeleno tunefulness faculty a great asset … a great example: Urinals ‘Sex’ … Killer ’77 sides by The Last – the deathless ‘She Don’t Know Why’, B-sides ‘Bombing Of London’ and ‘We Are In Control’ … ‘Hitler’s Brother’ is ‘Forming’ via Farfisa … Am working on ‘Claud Bessy: The Manchester Years’ as an article.
