I’m back with the 9th edition of the Dynamite Hemorrhage Radio Show Podcast, a podcast that pretends it’s a live radio show but is really just a guy drinking a beer in his den, dragging files across his laptop’s screen, blathering into a mic and then calling it a podcast.
It’s a big hour and ten minutes this time, with rare tracks from bands you’ve heard of (The Cramps, Guided By Voices, Royal Trux and Giant Sand) along with buried gems from bands you haven’t (Liechtenstein, Mambo Taxi, The Girls and Family Curse). In between are bands that your friends have heard of, but that you haven’t: Sic Alps, King Tuff, Veronica Falls, Saccharine Trust, The Consumers, Gang Green, White Fence and many more.

FAMILY CURSE, a moderne loud rock band from New York City, have just released their first album “Twilight Language”, and Dynamite Hemorrhage thinks it’s pretty good.
These guys would’ve been right in the wheelhouse of the Touch&Go/Amphetamine Reptile stable around 1989-91, and I’m going to go out on a big limb and say that they’ve probably got some records in their group collection from The Fall, Cop Shoot Cop, Tar, Rat At Rat R, Surgery and Pussy Galore. See what you think by listening to “No Return”, which kicks off the album.
DYNAMITE HEMORRHAGE RADIO PODCAST #6
Here’s the sixth edition of Dynamite Hemorrhage Radio Podcast, recorded in early February 2013 – i.e. today. Brand-new stuff this time from Spray Paint, Veronica Falls, Little Queenie & more…..plus a smattering of art, noise, punk, pop and psych from eras both hither and yon.
You’ll hear Morty Shann & The Morticians, The Cheater Slicks, Bill Direen & The Bilders, The Bangs, Fizzbombs, Lazy Cowgirls and a whole helluva lot of other tasty malarky, adding up to just over an hour of “good times”.
