Look at these 1978 lineups, playing at 1839 Geary in San Francisco (which is now “Tommy’s Joint”, a touristy burger place, and which was once 60s rock palace The Geary Temple). CRIME, WEIRDOS and THE GO-GOS on one bill.

Here’s a strange little collage piece of 1978-79 Los Angeles punk rock at The Masque, featuring all your faves like The Bags, Germs, Controllers, Go-Gos, Black Randy & The Metrosquad, Weirdos, Screamers, X, Eyes, Dils, Flesh Eaters, Dickies, Skulls and so on.
Taken from an early Flipside fanzine.

Here’s a cool article on the excellent WHAT RECORDS?, LA-based label who put out the first DILS single, the first GERMS 45, the KAOS 12" and a few other masterpieces. It came from a Seattle fanzine called DO THE POP! that I’ve got some other good scans from, and that I’ll be doling out accordingly.
