My cellular telephone captured thirty seconds of THE LAMPS playing Teddy & The Frat Girls’ “I Owe It To The Girls” this past Friday at The Echo in Los Angeles.
I wept openly.

We had a blast at the In the Red Anniversary party! All the bands were excellent. Thanks to Larry Hardy and The Echo for hosting this event. Photos by Carl Pocket.
I was fortunate to have attended this one on Thursday. I’ve seen the Cheater Slicks five or so times, none since 1999, and this was, quite surprisingly,
the BEST.
Art for spastics. A GREAT name to describe this 80-minute programme if it hadn’t already been taken by another, better disc jockey. DYNAMITE HEMORRHAGE RADIO #77 features that song (by God And The State) and many, many more – including new stuff from BEATNIKS, GØGGS, THE GARBAGE AND THE FLOWERS, TERRY, WITCHING WAVES, RATTLE and LEATHER TOWEL.
…and then there’s the stuff in between, from the likes of XYX (pictured), V-3, CHEATER SLICKS, KIM FOWLEY, CLAY ALLISON, SCRITTI POLITTI, PIP PROUD and many other heavyweights. Download it, stream it, and whatever you do – please tell a friend.

Phil Milstein started THE VELVET UNDERGROUND APPRECIATION SOCIETY in 1977, a time when several of the band’s albums were out of print and when they had nothing quite near the cultural caché they have today.
Dynamite Hemorrhage #3 interviews Mr. Milstein about VUAS and his interactions with the band members themselves. Why, it’s our cover story, in fact.
You can order it directly from Forced Exposure here.
Dave over at FREE FORM FREAKOUT took the time to give us at Dynamite Hemorrhage a real grilling, and this DH-focused podcast is the result. We talk about fanzine culture, music criticism, podcasts, high school new wavers, Sara Fancy and much more.
He even let us choose all of the music, so naturally it’s stuff we want you to like – or that was somehow formative/instructional during our youth.
The whole set list is here – and you can listen to or download the thing here.
DYNAMITE HEMORRHAGE #76 lands a few haymakers in 65 minutes of raw, feral, sub-underground rocknroll music from the last five decades. It’s full of new stuff from the likes of CUTSS, PRIMETIME, DAN MELCHIOR, WOODBOT, LEATHER TOWEL, HONEY RADAR, DOCTOR NOD, BURNT ENVELOPE, SPRAY PAINT, USELESS EATERS, UNITY and many others – plus reissues from MIKE REP & THE QUOTAS, VIVIEN GOLDMAN, THE SAXONS and ANGRY ANGLES.
I also took a trip downstairs into our vast mp3 library and pulled up material from, among others, THE BRENTWOODS, THE PORTAGE, HUSKER DU and THE MEAT PUPPETS. In 76 tries, it may just be the ultimate phony rocknroll radio show we’ve been shooting for all this time.

No problem. My DivShare account went offline and that link died with it. Here’s White Zombie, recorded 5-25-88 on KCSB in Santa Barbara.
And here’s the piece I wrote on that night a while back.
Hey, thanks a lot – yeah, I’m assembling tracks for a 2nd one as we speak. Hope to create “Hemorrhage in Dub #2″ within the next week.
